With the cold weather slowly moving on, the warmer temperatures will mean melting snow and ice, and also problems with pipes and water drainage. The heavy snow cover has actually protected many of your pipes from freezing and bursting, a situation that as with the weather can change quickly. Then, it may be time to call in the plumber.

Construction, Plumbing & HVAC manuals advise, that when needed, it is a good idea to keep the faucet open to maintain a steady flow of water through pipes to keep the pipes from freezing up.
