Nortek Names Sean Burke as Group President, Technology Products Segment

Computing and Mobile Electronics Industry Veteran Brings Extensive Background in Supply Chain, Operations, Product Development and Customer Service to Nortek

PROVIDENCE, R.I., Feb. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Nortek, Inc. (Nasdaq: NTK) a leading diversified global manufacturer of innovative, branded residential and commercial ventilation, HVAC and technology products, today announced the appointment of Sean Burke as Group President of the company's Technology Products Segment.

In an extensive career leading large and small enterprises, Burke has established a track record of creating and marketing innovative products for global markets as well as reengineering businesses for maximum effectiveness. He has significant experience in areas including supply chain, operations, product development and customer service, and has developed strong relationships with industry leaders and world-class electronics companies around the globe. Burke replaces Grant Rummell, who retired after 23 years of service with Nortek effective January 31 and whom the company thanks for his contributions over the years.

Burke most recently served as president, FlexComputing at Flextronics International, Ltd. He previously held senior management positions at Iomega Corporation, Hewlett-Packard Corporation and Compaq Computer Corporation. Burke holds a Bachelor of Business degree in International Marketing from the University of North Texas, and is a graduate of the Executive Management Programs at Harvard Business School and London Business School.
