Austin, TX (PRWEB) August 16, 2012 -- Radiant Plumbing & Air Conditioning of Austin, Texas is on a mission to save 3 million gallons of water by replacing 1000 leaking flappers for free.

New Air Injection Showerhead Technology

Danze Air Injection Showerhead

Danze, Inc. has announced the addition of a unique showerhead technology that ensures a high-performing shower even at lower flow rates. The new showerhead configuration injects air directly into the showerhead "engine" providing an improved shower experience.

This mixing of water and air provides three significant benefits to the user:

  • Increases water velocity and shower spray intensity
  • Softens the feel of the shower spray by trapping air bubbles in the water stream
  • Maintain water temperature compared to "misting" showerheads, which tend to lose their warmth

This air injection showerhead technology is being introduced on two of Danze’s newest showerheads – the Danze 200 (pictured left) and Danze 250 (pictured right). These showerheads are available in different versions to accommodate varying flow rates (1.5 gallons per minute, 1.75 gpm, 2.0 gpm and 2.5 gpm).

Students and Industry Battle over Ban on Bottled Water

Ban on Bottled Water

Thanks to the combined effort of non-profit campaigns like ban the bottle and the students that support them, the use of bottled water is slowly disappearing from college campuses all around the U.S. Corporate Accountability Internationals campaign Think Outside the Bottle used on various campuses declare that more then twenty schools have banned, or at least partially banned bottled water because of environmental and health concerns.

Last September California’s Humboldt State University and the Macalester College in Saint Paul Minnesota already imposed campus-wide bans, and earlier this year the University of Vermont announced it will no longer buy bottled water from Dasani bottler Coca-Cola.

Not only will they remove all the bottled water from vending machines, cafeterias and stores, students have also pushed for distribution of reusable bottles, water fountains, and filling stations. This way they are trying to make it part of the student culture to carry their own reusable water bottle.

FlushAll Toilet Valve Saves Wimpy Toilets From the Dreaded Double Flush

FlushAll Toilet Valve

NEWINGTON, Conn., Jan. 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Homeowners can now turbo charge their toilet's performance with patented funnel action from the FlushAll™ toilet valve.

Some eighteen years ago, Congress required toilets to use no more than 1.6 gallons per flush. Great for water conservation, but when manufacturers introduced their first water-saving models, performance went down the toilet. Homeowners were stuck with wimpy toilets that required two or even three flushes to clear and clean the bowl and plugged up more often. Even with new systems and refinements to old designs to make water-saving toilets work better, there are still a lot of weak flushers out there.
