(PRWEB) October 18, 2012 -- Visual inspection of engines and other hard to reach places with small access points is very important for ongoing safe operation in the automotive and aviation industries. NDT inspections like those are best done with video borescopes with small diameter probes with cameras and lights in the tip that can be inserted into these dark hard to reach areas. Inspecting with borescopes saves time and money as this can be done with little to no dismantling of the area or object being inspected, and the visual results are shown on a screen, and recorded. The smaller the diameter of the probe the more places you will be able to access, but smaller diameter probe can also be more fragile, or harder to manipulate while doing inspections.
