The pull-down Hybrid faucet boasts a soft-touch control pad that enables a user to control the water’s flow and temperature with one or few touches. Furthermore, the faucet is equipped with an LED indicator that shows the water’s current temperature, which helps to prevent scalding. The Hybrid faucet’s water flow is completely controlled by an electronic unit that needs to be plugged into a regular 110 V outlet; the unit also has a rechargeable backup battery, which allows uninterrupted operation in case of power failure. The faucet has its control pad located on the front of the spray head with its five control buttons. Two of the buttons are designed to regulate the water flow rate (increase or decrease); two other buttons regulate the water temperature (one button responsible for cold water, the other one for hot water). The fifth button, located in the middle of the touch pad, changes the spray patterns from an aerated narrow water flow to a wide spray mode. The touch pad has an LED indicator with three light colors: blue indicating cold to lukewarm water temp.; purple indicating warm water, and red indicating hot water running from the spray head.

Pat Lang, training coordinator, immediately offered one of the three apprenticeship classes to do the job. Under the professional guidance of Instructor Willie Heiss and retired Master Licensee Plumber John Lankford, the job was completed and done so with expertise workmanship.
